Published poetry
Expanding beyond your original borders and native language often means bearing witness to a new homeland, with its unique tastes and moods.
In my poem, kindly published by Great weather for media, in their annual anthology, I reflect on the times (of chimneys and gas pipes) of Sint Idesbald, where I live. I cherish this North Sea village – the emptiness of winter, the indifference of summer tourists, and the endless beach dotted with modest bars and ice cream shops that keep loneliness at bay.
